Real Simple Pop-Up Shop Selling Products to Benefit SU2C
November 30, 2010 – Just in time for the holiday shopping season, Real Simple magazine is debuting its first-ever pop-up shop – an experiential retail environment in New York City’s Rockefeller Center open from December 1-6, with the first day featuring Stand Up to Cancer. Located at 10 West 49th Street, and open for business on December 1 from 10 AM to 10 PM, the pop-up shop will feature the magazine’s trademark gift-giving ideas, tips and solutions for the holidays, while raising funds for cancer research by selling Stand Up To Cancer clothing and jewelry items.

As part of the “Charitable Wishes” program, Real Simple will grant one wish a day to five charitable organizations, in a quest to make life better for those who deserve it most. On December 1, Real Simple will grant a wish to Stand Up To Cancer by providing a “Real Simple Room Makeover” to somebody who is battling cancer.

To raise additional awareness for Stand Up To Cancer, Real Simple will sell “Gifts That Give Back” in the pop-up shop, including Stand Up To Cancer hoodies and the “Arrow” Necklace that was designed by Dogeared and SU2C. Reaching out digitally as well, for every person who “checks in” to the pop-up shop via FourSquare on December 1, Real Simple will donate $1 to Stand Up To Cancer up to $500.
